9.3.2 Switching of oil filters 9.3.2.1 The filter should be switched when there is a high pressure difference alarm in the oil filter or when leakage occurs in the filter that is currently in use. 9.3.2.2 Open the exhaust valve of the backup oil filter and confirm that its drain valve is closed. 9.3.2.3 Open the balance valve to fill the spare filter with oil; close the exhaust valve once oil flow free of bubbles is visible in the oil return sight glass. 9.3.2.4 Loosen the lock nut of the switch handle, rotate the handle by 90° to switch the oil filter in the oil circuit to the backup filter, then tighten the lock nut of the switch handle and record the initial pressure difference. 9.3.2.5 Close the balance valve, open the exhaust valve of the filter that is no longer in use to release pressure, and open its drain valve to remove oil; be sure to recycle the waste oil. 9.3.2.6 After the oil filter has been drained, it is handed over for maintenance. The filter that has been repaired must undergo an oil filling leak test as a backup
