This post was last edited by prt0683 on 2009-10-11 21:32. The butt joint between the Type B flat welding flange and the cylinder should be opposite and facing 1: 3 ratio. The problem of butt trimming of cylinders with unequal ends is clearly discussed in Chapter 10 of GB150. There are many forms, not necessarily in proportion.
1: 3 is the ratio of the two adjacent sides of the right-angled side, the shorter 1 is the thickness difference of the butt joints of unequal thickness, and the long 3 is the length of the transition section.
1:3 is the tangent value. That is tan.
1:3 is the ratio of the maximum depth of the bevel to the length of the bevel. Please study GB150 carefully for details.
