Questions about orifice plates

There seems to be very little information available regarding the calculations for orifice plates. According to HG/T 20570.15-1995, when installing flow-limiting orifice plates in pipelines, it is possible for multiple orifice plates to be connected in series. But why, with the same basic data, do foreign calculations show that only one orifice plate is used? It seems that this standard, BS EN ISO 5167-2-2003, is used abroad. I’m not sure what the differences between these two standards are
In the setup of flow restriction orifice plates for pipelines, it is not possible to have multiple orifice plates connected in series when performing calculations, as only one flow rate can be calculated. If the desired flow rate is low and the theoretical value of d/D is too small, then the pipe diameter must be reduced and the calculations repeated. In any case, having multiple orifice plates in series is not correct...
