I used Aspen Plus to simulate a methanol pressure column; on my machine I employed the NTRL property methodology, and there was still a large amount of ethanol in the product at the top of the column. I sent the resulting BKP file to a classmate, who changed the property methodology to WILSON – as a result, almost no ethanol was left in the product at the top of the column. He then sent me the modified BKP file, and when I ran it, I got results identical to his. But when I changed my original model property method to Wilson, the results did not change. It’s really strange! ! ! I would appreciate some guidance from those who know more!

Do you need to initialize it first before continuing with the calculations?
That’s right. What was said on the third floor is correct; otherwise, wouldn’t Aspen also seem strange? Hahaha
There’s no need to be confused – it’s either an initialization issue or a program bug. There’s no need to worry about it; do something else instead. If that doesn’t work, try setting up the process again.
