How high is the coal consumption per ton of coke (dry basis) of various peer companies? How to determine the coal consumption per ton of coke? We use the combustible volatile content of the blended coal to calculate the coal consumption per ton of coke. The combustible volatile content is 28%, and the coal consumption per ton of coke on a dry basis is calculated to be 1.345 tons. Through measurement and inventory, we believe that this ton consumption is on the high side. Should it be more reasonable to use the volatile content on a dry basis (i.e., analytical basis) for calculation? Please feel free to express your opinions! Thanks!

According to production experience, the general coke production rate is 75%. Coal consumption per ton of coke is around 1.39.

Thank you for the information you provided. We also calculated it this way, except that it was calculated based on the combustible basis used in conjunction with coal and coke volatiles. I think it is only reasonable to use the dry basis. The combustible volatile content of coke is about 1.5%.
