Dear colleagues: I have just started working with the treatment of wastewater containing alkali slag from refineries, and I am not yet familiar with the characteristics of this alkali slag – such as its acidity or alkalinity, corrosiveness, content of solid particles, tendency to vaporize, viscosity, etc. Additionally, I hope everyone can introduce the various treatment processes available for alkaline slag wastewater from refineries, identify which types of alkaline slag are suitable for each process, and outline the advantages and disadvantages of each process (such as operation and maintenance costs, investment requirements, and space needed).
