Our facility has an internal floating roof tank (220 m3) that has been in use for 3 years; now it needs to be cleaned, and we would like to ask how we should handle the materials involved Thank you~
Regardless of the type of material used, the tank must first be emptied and cleaned. If toxic materials are involved, the tank must be steamed before being purged again; only after the levels of toxic gases and oxygen inside are found to be within acceptable limits can the tank be used again. If the requirements for entering the tank are not met, you can prepare a respirator.

For general tank cleaning or maintenance, the material inside is first removed, followed by steaming. The manhole is then opened for gas replacement, and only after the levels of toxic gases and oxygen inside are found to be within acceptable limits can people enter the tank
