The treatment and discharge standards for wastewater from different industries vary; in cases where no industry-specific standards exist, the \"Comprehensive Wastewater Discharge Standards\" are used as a reference.
Different industries, regions, and emission destinations will certainly result in differences
Currently, it is generally acceptable to discharge wastewater when the COD is below 100 mg/L; however, some large chemical and refining companies require a COD level of less than 60 mg/L. As for the salt content in wastewater, **no specific values have been established.

Where industry standards exist, those standards shall be followed; in the absence of such standards, the \"Comprehensive Wastewater Discharge Standards\" shall apply. If there are local emission standards in place, those should be given priority. In our work, when there are both local standards and industry standards, we often compare the relevant items of the two standards and follow the stricter one.
The main wastewater indicators include COD, ammonia nitrogen, petroleum compounds, sulfides, volatile phenols, and pH value.
