So, can radar level gauges be used in internal floating roof tanks as well? If it’s not suitable, then what type of level gauge would be more appropriate?

No problem at all; we use radar level gauges for all our internal floating roof tanks. However, the requirements for installing radar level gauges in internal floating roof tanks differ from those in dome tanks; generally, a guided wave tube should be installed in internal floating roof tanks, and the diameter of this tube as well as the manner of its opening should be determined in accordance with the requirements of the instrumentation specialists.
There should be no problem with installing the radar; all that’s needed is to add a waveguide during installation! ! ! Or the magnetic telescoping one recommended by the original poster above would work too. May I ask which brand’s magnetic telescoping product the original poster is using? Is it Beijing ZhiKong, Yitong, or another brand? Could you tell me?
For internal floating roof tanks, the guided wave tube for the radar level gauge needs to be determined after the instrument is selected; the temperature measurement signal also needs to be taken into consideration.
