Our company manufactures its own steam heating coils, which are heated using saturated steam at 1.0 Mpa. Is 30 sets of heating coils with DN20 steam inlet pipes sufficient?
It doesn’t feel enough. Actually, using steam for heating is not good; when connected in series, the area ahead gets too hot while there is hardly any heat in the areas behind. When connected in parallel, the heat from the steam cannot be fully utilized, and the heat from the condensate water also remains unused.

It is best to use hot water for heating, as it provides good heat and allows for efficient utilization of thermal energy. Just one hot water pump and a hot water tank are sufficient.
Our facility also uses steam heating, with saturated steam at 0.4 MPa, in a series configuration. For the 1.0MPa saturated steam mentioned by the poster, it is recommended to use a parallel configuration; if a series configuration is used, the temperature difference between the front and back sections will be too large. In that case, radiators with different heat exchange areas must be used – the one at the front should have a smaller area and the one at the back a larger one, otherwise the front radiator will overheat while the back one may not provide sufficient heating. A DN50 pipe should be sufficient for this purpose.
