Regarding installation: The boiler room for steam boilers needs to be large enough and must meet the standards set by various agencies such as those responsible for environmental protection, fire safety, boiler inspection, technical supervision, and safety regulation; it also needs to be built separately. On the other hand, the boiler room for water heaters does not need to be very large – it only needs to be large enough to allow for maintenance and ventilation. Such water heaters can also be installed in densely populated areas. During operation: Steam boilers require a **valid boiler operator’s license to be operated** ； On the other hand, operating a water heater requires only minimal training before one can start working with it. During operation: Steam boilers are used under pressure, posing a certain risk of explosion ； On the contrary, using a water heater under normal pressure or without pressure during operation definitely does not cause any harm, which is reassuring and hassle-free. In terms of operation: for use in hotels, bathrooms, central air conditioning systems for heating, etc., where hot water is required, steam boilers need to rely on long steam pipes; in some cases, energy must be converted twice (from steam to hot water before it can be used), which results in a certain degree of loss of thermal energy ； Conversely, a water heater can directly supply hot water, fully achieving the same purpose (that achieved by steam boilers through complex processes). For maintenance and use: The pressure-bearing components of steam boilers must be inspected and approved by a boiler inspection agency every year before they can continue to be used; the procedures are rather complicated ； On the other hand, for water heaters, it is sufficient to regularly check for scale inside the heater and in the piping system to ensure that they are operating under normal pressure; the maintenance process is simple and convenient, resulting in savings in money, effort, and time.
