I’m not sure if it’s due to the low specifications of my computer, but after creating 6 or 7 distillation columns using HYSYS, the program runs very slowly; it often crashes or the software shuts down automatically. The file size is only around 3M. Is it true that HYSYS isn’t suitable for simulating larger processes? You won’t encounter such problems when using ASPEN
Simulation software has certain requirements for the machine configuration; it is necessary to ensure sufficient CPU, memory, and disk space. For specific requirements, see the installation instructions for each version. I use Aspen, and in my opinion, AspenV7.1 can run with 1GB of memory. Aspen2001 can also run smoothly with 512 MB of memory.
