Can PDMS be used for PID design? Thank you
It seems that PDMS is a 3D software used for modeling; in the field of chemical engineering, it is utilized for creating 3D piping diagrams. Of course, it is also possible to generate single-line diagrams and 2D piping plans. PID is handled by the process engineering team; generally, other departments cannot modify it. They can only provide certain conditions and negotiate with the process engineering team.
PDMS cannot be used for PID, but AVEVA’s VPE can; together, they can also be used for 2D and 3D verification.
It’s possible; PDMS has a module called Diagrams, which is PDMS’s PID module. However, it doesn’t have SPPID, and that’s a drawback
I’m not sure if this feature exists; I’ve only used PDMS to draw cable trays!
