It mainly depends on the type of reactor used in the reduction process; the Siemens method employs a reduction furnace to produce rod-shaped silicon ; The fluidized bed method uses a fluidized bed to produce granular silicon ; Physical metallurgy methods should involve metallurgical furnaces; what comes out should be silicon blocks (this is not clear). Of course, there are also differences among the various methods in terms of the processes used; for example, the raw material for the fluidized bed method can be silane gas, or it can be trichlorosilane in the case of a fluidized bed process.
