Cones must always have a reinforced knuckle at the transition to the cylinder, whose radius is not less than 0.1Da. Nozzles are not allowed within the reinforced knuckle of a cone.

An enhanced transition ring is required for the FRP conical head and the straight cylindrical section, with a diameter of not less than 0.1 times the diameter of the cylinder. The pipe openings on the head should not be located on this transition ring.
