It seems that the measurement accuracy of the electromagnetic flowmeter on the coal slurry pipeline in coal-water slurry gasification is slightly different when it is installed on the vertical pipeline and when it is installed on the horizontal pipeline. What is the difference? Please give me some advice.
I think it should be more accurate to install it on a vertical pipe. On a vertical pipe, the medium can fill the pipe and there is no air flow. On the contrary, the horizontal pipeline may not be filled with gas, which will cause measurement deviation.
When the pipe is vertical, the coal slurry in the pipe is full. When the fluid in the flow meter is stable and the pipe is horizontal, the coal slurry in the pipe is not full and the flow meter is unstable. Coal slurry in horizontal pipes will precipitate. Coal slurry precipitation is the key to unstable operation of the flow meter. Be sure to clean the coal slurry in the electromagnetic flowmeter of the horizontal pipe every time you stop to ensure the long-term stable operation of the system!
