The electrical and instrumentation control room contains control cabinets, cables, etc. I’m not sure if measures to prevent rats are required; it can also protect against rain.
Since the control room is a room, that means the control cabinets are inside it; therefore, rodent-proof barriers must be installed. I don’t understand what the original poster meant by saying they are outside – what is outside? Please explain it more clearly. Do you mean that the control room is placed outdoors like a box-type substation? That’s how I understand it.
The control room doesn’t require a power distribution room; rodent-proof boards are needed. Cable trenches should be sealed, and either rodenticide or rodent repellents should be used. In the generator room where our generator is located, cats gave birth to a litter of kittens during the two months when the generator was not in use
If you want to keep small animals out, it’s necessary to add one; a rodent barrier is used to prevent small animals from entering, not just to stop rats.
