After graduating in 2008, I worked in the piping department of a small design firm. After working there for one and a half years, I am now able to carry out piping work independently using CAD. I’ve felt very lost lately, not knowing how to plan my future path. I truly admire and respect all the seniors in the design industry; it is indeed a field where work-related fatigue tends to occur quite frequently. Lately, I’ve not been sure about the path ahead; on several occasions I even thought about changing industries, but I gave up on those ideas in the end. No matter what industry one is in, it’s necessary to study hard. I haven’t had much design work lately, and I plan to learn *PDMS. I’ve gathered some information online, but the materials available are too fragmented, making it difficult to know where to start. I have basically never used the process simulation software Aspen and PROII. I believe those of you who have experience in processing and piping must have many insights regarding design. I’m writing down my own background here, hoping that the more experienced colleagues can offer me some guidance; I’d like to learn and exchange ideas with my peers. I graduated in 2008 as well and worked in design at a state-owned enterprise, but now I haven’t learned any specific projects; I’ve only gotten to know and study the equipment. As for Aspen and PROII that you mentioned, I’ve never even seen them, nor have I seen anyone use them! It’s truly sad. . . . . It seems difficult to achieve a high level of expertise in such a short time of one year; otherwise, engineers wouldn’t require such a long work experience for their evaluations! Additional 100,000 tons of copper balls – expert advice!
The main thing is to understand PID and then conduct thorough research on piping! Precision is essential!
