Are the toxic detectors commonly used intrinsically safe or explosion-proof? The combustible (or toxic) detectors I have chosen are intrinsically safe type; what kind of safety barrier is required if their signals are to be fed directly into a PLC or DCS system? Can MTL5042 be used for two-wire systems, and MTL5074 for three-wire systems? Thank you all.

Generally speaking, using intrinsically safe detectors yields better results compared to flameproof ones, and the safety barriers used in conjunction with them are also high-quality products. However, many manufacturers no longer produce intrinsically safe gas detectors. May I ask which product you are using? What type of gas are you detecting? I look forward to more exchanges!
