I’m having trouble with the setup of the telephone switchboard. I’m not sure whether this issue falls under the scope of automation engineering or telecommunications engineering. I spent the whole night yesterday trying to figure it out, but still can’t make long-distance calls. It seems that such automatic services haven’t been activated for these calls. If anyone knows how to resolve this, please let me know. Thank you very much!
In our factory, the program-controlled switches are under the responsibility of the automation maintenance team. They are divided into an internal network and an external network; the internal network is used for making calls within the company, while the external network is connected through China Telecom’s lines. The issue of being unable to make long-distance calls might be due to China Telecom not having enabled long-distance service for that number – this is a likely possibility. The settings on the program-controlled switches are generally used for changing numbers, adjusting permissions, monitoring calls, and recording call details. The program-controlled switches in our factory are usually used to manage calls within the internal network. It is recommended to check the user manual corresponding to your specific model of program-controlled switch··
Try contacting Telecom; in the case of long-distance calls, it’s likely that Telecom’s servers have imposed restrictions on those numbers.
It depends on what series of switches you are using; if it’s an old-style HJD-80 or similar, it’s quite easy to do; If it is the type that uses optical cables for external connections nowadays, it needs to be configured using computer software.
