Regarding the issue of producing carbon dioxide that we discussed last time, several methods have now been identified; one of them is to extract it from the exhaust gases coming from chimneys. I estimate that the amount is small; one method is extraction from the exhaust gases of liquid ammonia. This requires cooperation from liquid ammonia plants; one method is to extract it from the exhaust gases of limestone processing. In this industry, which is extremely large-scale, once there are exhaust gases, the limestone used in calcination becomes useless. This method could be considered if it proves useful in the future for combining carbon dioxide gas with slaked lime. But I don’t know if it will help.
