The large springs at the top of the two coke ovens in our workshop are set at 12 tons, while those at the bottom are set at 10 tons. I personally think it’s a bit high, but I can’t find any information to confirm it; I hope my colleagues can discuss this
The bottom is generally 9 tons, and the upper part is 11 tons
What is the basis for formulating this? Our factory requires 12–14 tons for the upper part and 10–12 tons for the lower part. I personally think it’s on the high side, but to avoid violating the rules, I’ll stick to the lower limit.
The upper large spring is generally kept at 12 tons, while the lower one can be set at 9 tons; however, this is not absolute – adjustments need to be made based on factors such as the quality of the springs and the curvature of the steel columns, in accordance with the actual production conditions.
The tonnage of the spring depends mainly on the curvature of the furnace column and the amount of expansion that occurs each year; this needs to be determined based on actual production conditions. In older furnaces, as the elastic coefficient of the springs decreases, the compression amount increases slightly, which means the calculated tonnage goes up. However, the actual tonnage is lower than the calculated value. It’s not necessary to strive for a specific tonnage for the spring; different furnace types have different tonnage configurations
