Generally, the proportion of methanol in acidic gases is very small and can be ignored; it has a minimal impact on the temperature of the furnace. When the furnace temperature is relatively high, it’s not a big issue if the methanol content is a bit high. However, due to the relatively low concentration of acidic gases in coal chemical processes, the furnace temperature is generally on the lower side. In this case, a high methanol content will severely affect the quality of sulfur products. The sulfur produced by certain companies is green or brown in color, and this is due to a high methanol content
Question for the person on floor 2: What temperature is required for the complete combustion of methanol? Can a limit be set? For example, under the condition of 30% oxygen-enriched combustion in coal chemical processes, what is the acceptable concentration of methanol in the acid gas? 1000ppm?
