Qualifications for pressure vessel personnel

As the saying goes, \"Ambition knows no age\"... There seems to be no age limit for applying for qualifications related to design approval. Those who apply to be approved as designers for pressure vessels must meet the following conditions: Those who are to approve designs for Class A pressure vessels shall fulfill the following requirements: 1. Possess a college degree or higher in a field related to pressure vessels (or an equivalent level of education), work in this technical field, and have a comprehensive understanding of knowledge related to pressure vessels； 2. Be familiar with and able to guide designers and inspectors in properly following relevant regulations, standards, and other technical specifications, as well as in resolving technical issues arising during design, manufacturing, installation, and production ； 3. Able to earnestly implement the relevant technical regulations and policies; possesses a strong sense of responsibility, has comprehensive professional knowledge in pressure vessel design, and can ensure design quality ； 4. Ability to review computer designs ； 5. At least 6 years of experience in pressure vessel design (8 years if holding an associate degree), along with at least 3 years of experience in pressure vessel verification ； 6. Possess a technical title at the intermediate level or above (including intermediate level) ； 7. The validity period of the license lasts until the age of 70. (II) The design approver for Class C pressure vessels shall meet the following requirements: 1. Have at least 6 years of experience in pressure vessel design, and at least 3 years of experience in reviewing designs for mobile pressure vessels ； 2. Other qualifications equivalent to those of the design approver for Class A pressure vessels. (III) Personnel responsible for the design approval of Class D pressure vessels shall meet the following requirements: 1. A junior college degree (or an equivalent qualification) in a field related to pressure vessels, experience in working in this technical area, and a fairly comprehensive understanding of pressure vessel-related knowledge ； 2. Other qualifications equivalent to those of the design approver for Class A pressure vessels. (IV) The design approver for SAD-class pressure vessels shall meet the following requirements: 1. Have at least 8 years of experience in pressure vessel design, and no less than 3 years of experience in analytical design verification work ； 2. Be able to master and apply, in accordance with the requirements of the assessment outline, basic knowledge such as elasticity theory, plate and shell theory, plasticity theory, and the finite element method; be proficient in using JB4732 \"Steel Pressure Vessels – Code for Analysis and Design\", and have the ability to prepare stress analysis reports and drawings ； Familiar with and able to guide designers and inspectors in properly following technical specifications such as procedures and standards, as well as capable of resolving technical issues in design, manufacturing, installation, and production ； 3. Possess a \"Design Approver Qualification Certificate\" for Class A pressure vessels and a \"Pressure Vessel Analysis and Design Qualification Certificate\" for SAD class. 4. Other qualifications are the same as those required for design approvers of Class A pressure vessels

The second question was set by several evaluation agencies, and it is still in effect today.

Question 2: Refer to Article 64 of the 2002 version of the \"Rules for the Qualification Licensing and Management of Design Units for Pressure Vessels and Pressure Pipelines\". Article 64 Basic conditions for agreeing to a certificate renewal: 1. Meeting the conditions stipulated in Chapter II of these rules ；   II. No major equipment accidents caused by design issues have occurred ；   III. The annual change rate for designers at all levels shall not exceed 20% ；   IV. Within the validity period, each level of design documents must have at least two items; otherwise, the design qualification for that level will be revoked.
