It depends on the width of the carbonization chamber in your 7M coke oven. For coke ovens with a wide carbonization chamber – greater than 500 mm – in order to produce high-quality metallurgical coke, it is necessary to ensure that the proportion of strongly cohesive coals (coking coal and fat coal) in the coal blend is over 70%, with the volatile matter content of the coal blend controlled between 22% and 25%.
Now, 7-meter coke ovens are also designed with segmented heating, which is really great.
