If the preheating furnace tube breaks and leaks, the system pressure will drop; as a result, the temperature in the preheating furnace’s furnace chamber will rise, along with the temperature of the catalyst bed in the conversion furnace. In such a situation, an emergency shutdown is necessary. The system temperature must be reduced to below 500 degrees, by using nitrogen for cooling and by venting steam; the system should also be kept at a slight positive pressure. The burners in the preheating furnace should be turned off, and blowers should be used to cool the preheating furnace until it reaches normal temperature. Once the analysis shows that everything is satisfactory, the furnace can be taken apart for maintenance
The main parameters observed are temperature, pressure, flow rate, and changes in temperature. It can be seen from the negative pressure.
We have box-type furnaces here, and no leaks have been detected for now. However, it is necessary to monitor temperature changes regularly, as well as changes in fuel flow
