As is well known, enamel discharge valves come in upper-opening and lower-opening types. What are the differences in their applicable conditions? The upper section tends to get clogged with material, while the lower section is prone to accumulating liquid – are there any other reasons for this? Let’s discuss this together.
I’m not sure if those on the first floor have noticed this, but enamel material feeding valves, whether of the upward or downward type, are hardly used in factories, especially in the production of fine chemical products. The valve disc of the upward-opening type has a smaller contact area with the valve seat, so its sealing performance is not as good as that of the downward-opening type; however, as mentioned on the second floor, discharge ball valves lined with PTFE are now more commonly used.
