This is the flow rate at the outlet of the metering pump; it should be pulsating and the flow rate is quite low. The process engineers felt that the flow regulation on the metering pump was inaccurate, and requested the installation of a flow meter; an on-site indicator would suffice.
Such a requirement cannot be met, and even if it were possible, the cost-benefit ratio would be very poor
This post was last edited by xfjtlzq on 2009-10-30 at 14:28. Can’t use the Yokogawa AE series electromagnetic flowmeters? The minimum flow rate for a 2.5 caliber is 0.0017 m3/h. I haven’t used one with such a small caliber myself, so I don’t know how it works. And yours is pulsating.

Micro metal tube float flow meter. Measurement range: Water: 20°C, 3–100 l/h; Air: 1.013 bar abs at 20°C, 50–3400 l/h. For pulsating flows, a compensator can be installed!
Could we consider adding a buffer tank first to make the flow continuous, and then choosing a flow meter?
For metal float flow meters from Cologne with a pipe diameter of 1/2", options are available with remote transmission as well as those with local display
The E+H electromagnetic flowmeter 53H series can be used; it has a minimum pipe diameter of 2 mm, and it includes compensation for pulsating flow
