The four-nozzle gasification furnace at Jiangsu Sopu began operating with feedstock on October 28; gas supply was switched over early on the 29th, and synthesis started receiving gas that same day, resulting in methanol production. Analysis showed that the quality of the methanol was excellent. Thus, the technical upgrade project for producing 600,000 tons of acetic acid along with CO co-production at Sopu has achieved a milestone success

The four-nozzle gasification furnace in Jiangsu Suopu began to operate with feedstock on October 28; the gas supply was switched over in the early hours of October 29, and synthesis started receiving gas that same day. The methanol produced was analyzed, and its quality was found to be excellent. The methanol content is 99.98%, while the ethanol content is less than 0.01%. Parameters such as oxidation time, pH level, distillation range, and carbon compounds are all within the specified ranges. As of today, a total of 1,550 tons of methanol have been produced. Thus, the technological upgrade project for producing 600,000 tons of acetic acid at SOPH and the CO co-production project have achieved a milestone success
Thorp’s run went fairly well! Congratulations! !
Congratulations! ! :victory:
The OMB technology used by sopo is quite good!
It is hoped that it will be able to withstand long-term testing and provide experience for localization
Congratulations to Thorpe; I hope he achieves even greater success!
Congratulations! I hope our country’s coal chemical enterprises will continue to grow stronger! ! !
Let’s rejoice together; let’s strive for stable operation over a long period of time! !
Congratulations! I hope that the degree of localization of process equipment in our country will reach even higher levels! ! ! I really want to go to Jiangsu for a while to learn about the structure of gasification furnaces and the process of feeding materials into them.
