Question: Can items of Class 4.3 be stored in the same warehouse as flammable liquids of Class 3? Isn’t it the same for different fire compartments?
Refer to the General Rules for the Storage of Commonly Used Chemical Hazards, GB 17914-1999, Technical Requirements for the Storage and Maintenance of Flammable and Explosive Goods
In accordance with the Technical Requirements for the Storage and Maintenance of Flammable and Explosive Goods GB17914—1999, Section 3 Storage Conditions, 3.3 Safety Conditions, 3.3.1 The goods should be kept away from direct sunlight, as well as from sources of fire, heat, and electricity, and in areas where no sparks can be generated. 3.3.2 In addition to being stored classified in accordance with the provisions of Appendix A (the standard appendix), the following varieties shall be stored in dedicated warehouses. 3.3.2.1 Explosives: Black ** category items and explosive compounds are stored in separate dedicated warehouses. 3.3.2.2 Compressed gases and liquefied gases: Flammable gases, non-flammable gases, and toxic gases are stored in separate dedicated warehouses. 3.3.2.3 Flammable liquids may all be stored in the same warehouse ; However, methanol, ethanol, and propanol should be stored in dedicated warehouses. 3.3.2.4 Flammable solids may be stored in the same warehouse ; However, the hair foaming agent H (editor’s note: it may refer to a \"hair pore opener\" or \"foaming agent\") should be stored separately from acids or acidic substances ; Cellulose nitrate esters, safety matches, red phosphorus and phosphorus sulfide, as well as metal powders such as aluminum powder, should be stored separately. 3.3.2.5 Spontaneously combustible materials: yellow phosphorus, hydrocarbon-metal compounds, and products made from animal or vegetable oils must be stored in separate dedicated warehouses. 3.3.2.6 Items that are flammable when exposed to moisture shall be stored in dedicated warehouses. 3.3.2.7 Oxidizers and organic peroxides: Primary and secondary inorganic oxidizers as well as primary and secondary organic oxidizers must be stored separately; however, acids such as *ao acid an, chlorates, permanganates, nitrites, sodium peroxide, hydrogen peroxide, etc., must be stored in dedicated warehouses. Based on the above judgment, they cannot be stored together.
