The crude oil buffer tank is used, of course, for buffering the feed flow, in order to smooth out any fluctuations in the incoming oil. Whether the oil contains water depends on the source from which it comes; if there is water in the upstream process, then the buffer tank needs to be designed with mechanisms for separating water from the oil. In the presence of free water, oil and water will separate into distinct layers within the tank, as oil and water are immiscible
The function of the buffer tank is to act as a buffer for the raw materials, thereby ensuring a steady supply of these materials, and it also removes the moisture contained in the raw materials! Thereby ensuring that the quality of the raw material feed meets the requirements!
