What are the requirements for water-coal slurry in Texaco gasification?
It should be noted first that Texaco’s gasification process has fairly strict requirements regarding coal quality; for example, it demands low ash content and a low ash fusion point. The requirements for coal slurry are as follows: 1. Concentration requirement: 60-65% ； 2. It must have good fluidity, with an apparent viscosity not exceeding 1000 mPa·s ； 3. The particle size distribution must be appropriate; generally, the maximum particle size of coal particles in the slurry should not exceed 1 mm, and those larger than 90 μm should account for no more than 30% ； 4. Good stability of the coal slurry is required.
