Blind flange \PN5.0 DN20\RF HG20622 – Flange cover \3/4”; CL 300, RF face HG20622. What is the difference between these two? Are flange covers and blind flanges the same thing?
One thing, two names. Blind flange \PN5.0 DN20\RF HG20622; it uses the PN series, namely the European system, and this standard has been updated to HG/T20592-2009 (they have been merged). The next one is the Class series, that is, the American system.
A flange cover and a blind flange are probably the same thing, just called by different names. The CLASS series refers to the Americas series. As of July 1, 2009, the original standards HG20615~20622-1997 and HG20624~20626-1997 were replaced by HG/T20615-2009. CL300 is the pressure rating, which is equivalent to PN5.0 that we are used to seeing. 3/4" is expressed in American inches, while DN20 represents the nominal diameter as we commonly use it.
The same thing – as mentioned above, one is the European standard and the other is the American system. This is considered a relatively minor issue; generally, material specifications should also be specified when placing orders.
May I ask if PN5.0 in your standards refers to the same thing as PN in German standards? If so, then ASME 300LB is equivalent to PN25, where 25 represents KG/CM2.
