I spent a long time in the CAD section, where I mainly saw 2D operations. I would like to ask all fellow sailors whether you have any experience working with CAD in 3D? For example, when it comes to drawing piping diagrams, I’ve studied CAD for a short period of time; I’ve just learned the basics and am not yet proficient at it. But it seems that due to work requirements, I’ll have to do this kind of work soon. Therefore, I really hope to receive guidance from everyone in various aspects, whether it’s regarding software or anything else. Thank you!

Auto Plant is a 3D piping software based on CAD. Search for related threads on the forum; there’s a lot of information available. Make sure to search first before posting.
As far as I know, it generally doesn’t seem that CAD is used for 3D piping design; CAD is usually applied to 2D drawings. For 3D piping design, PDMS or PDS are typically used.

I agree with what was said above regarding the use of PDS, PDMS, PDSOFT, AUTOPLANT, etc.; these tools can be used to create 3D CAD drawings of piping systems
