In the \"Regulations on Safety Technical Inspection of Fixed Pressure Vessels\", the definition of calculated pressure is:......and additional loads such as the hydrostatic pressure of liquid columns shall be taken into account. Does this mean that it should be taken into account regardless of the static pressure of the liquid column?
No, for more details see GB150 3.4.4: The hydrostatic pressure exerted by the liquid column on the component can be ignored only when it is less than 5% of the design pressure.
That is a container governed by GB150; does the ‘Container Regulations’ also apply? Uncertain!
It only says that additional values such as static head should be taken into consideration, it doesn’t mean they must be included; according to the standard, a static head of less than 5% of 150 is considered part of the calculated pressure. In fact, additional loads include wind, snow, earthquakes, and support reactions, etc
When considering in accordance with GB150, it is not necessarily required to add it
