What is a “layout management moderator,” also known as a layout supervisor moderator?

Each section of the forum has a management moderator, and due to the frequent changes in moderators, one might not even realize that they have become a management moderator themselves; this can be seen from the monthly bonuses. I have a few questions I’d like to ask: 1. How are the management moderators selected? Based on management data, level of participation, postponement? 2. What is the difference between admin moderators and regular moderators? Apart from the lack of multi-point bonuses, I haven’t seen anything else. 3. Does the admin moderator have the authority to address unreasonable management practices by other moderators in this subreddit? Or does a regular moderator have the right to address the unreasonable management by administrative moderators (it’s a bit awkward to put it that way). Or do they all need to communicate with each other, or something like that? Because sometimes it is found that other moderators manage the ratings in an unreasonable manner, and sometimes messages are sent to them. But will I be notified again if it happens once more? Will they think you’re meddling? Sometimes people would write a comment on an unjustly rated post, but later that comment was removed; it’s unclear who was responsible for that. Alas! 4. The management version should either be removed or made clearer. Otherwise, it’s as good as useless.
The management moderator is the moderator who holds the top position in a forum; they are usually appointed by the area supervisor. Acting as a coordinator for all moderators in that area or as someone who is particularly active in their duties, such a moderator often contacts the area supervisor when there are issues with the forum. In my understanding, the management moderators referred to by the original poster are those among the moderators of a particular forum who have relatively more experience in management, are more proactive in their work, and possess a better grasp of the relevant skills. These are the moderators, first moderators, or leading moderators of the partition super-version, selected through regular observation or assessments based on uncertainty. This position is not always held by a moderator; it can be reassigned as appropriate based on the performance of each moderator. It should not be understood as something useless as what the original poster said
I think it would be better to have a distinction in management permissions
1. Super moderators are the moderators in charge of managing an entire section; they handle all administrative matters related to that section, and in special cases, they report to the site administrator for further action. Is primarily responsible for the management of partitions. And it is under the supervision of the station master and supervisors. 2. The management moderator is the primary moderator of a section; they bear primary responsibility for managing that section. They lead other moderators and regular moderators in order to manage the section and increase its popularity. In case of disagreements, it is necessary to communicate actively and strengthen exchanges to reach a consensus. If communication fails, the issue should be reported to the super moderator for decision-making. The main responsibilities fall on the primary management moderator. 3. Other moderators assist the main moderators in managing the respective sections. When the primary moderator resigns or is transferred, a new moderator should be recommended to take on that role, or a super moderator can select one to do so; after appropriate discussion, they can assume the position and begin carrying out their duties.

Before I took on the role of the chief anti-corrosion moderator, the wise leader discussed things with me for some time; however, I believe there are serious issues regarding the permissions and evaluation criteria for the chief moderator: 1. Permissions: They are the same as those of an ordinary moderator, namely 150. These days, there are many posts in the management office that casually grant level 200 permissions, which is very uncomfortable for us; we’re still outsiders after all! Speaking of contributions to the forum, will the first moderator promoted after additional discussions be ranked lower than those in the patrol team? I said it before: construction is difficult! We are the builders. For example, the daily number of posts and popularity in the anti-corrosion area are created by the builders, not imposed through supervision! 2. Assessment: Similar to regular moderators, it is based on the number of management actions performed. I’m in a tough spot right now: I have to keep in touch with other moderators and official moderators to encourage them to post, reply, manage operations, and assign scores, while at the same time I also need to handle the scoring myself. I spend at least 2 to 3 posts per day managing other moderators, and at least 5 internal messages. These are all times. And I still have to manage it myself. Otherwise, it’s not possible to set an example! I think the criterion for evaluating the first-level moderators should be the ranking of their respective sections, rather than the number of times they carry out management tasks as regular moderators! We have already made double the effort required; we can’t take on double the workload anymore!
This is the former Super Moderator role; it’s just been renamed to Management Moderator now. If the Super Moderator is like a teacher, then the Management Moderator is akin to the position of class president. Of course, this metaphor might not be very appropriate. First of all, it is a form of honor. Because the management moderator is usually someone among the moderators who stands out in terms of seniority, experience, and capabilities; they are appointed as the top moderator to acknowledge their achievements ； Second, it can serve as a candidate for an upgrade version. If I remember correctly, several super-villains in different districts have now risen to that position from being super-villain assistants in the past. For the super moderators in various regions who resign due to personal reasons, or when the forum aims to expand its management team by creating new regional super moderator positions, candidates are often selected first from among the forum moderators. Third, a large region usually has more than one sub-region, so it’s impossible for an expanded version to cover everything. Therefore, a moderator who is relatively familiar with each community is needed to carry out coordination tasks, or to act as the moderator temporarily when the official moderator is not available. After all, two people who complement each other can manage the region more effectively.
