After the rod mill starts up, the high-pressure oil pump stops operating, and the low-pressure oil pump supplies oil to the bearings of the rod mill. Is the low-pressure oil sent to the bearings via the high-pressure oil pump (which is no longer in operation), or is there a bypass that allows the low-pressure oil pump to supply oil directly to the rod mill bearings?
The oil for the high-pressure oil pump comes from a branch line taken from the outlet pipeline of the low-pressure oil pump. The oil flow path in a rod mill is roughly as follows: Two low-pressure oil pumps draw oil from the oil sump; after passing through the oil filter and oil cooler, it enters the bearing shells of the rod mill to provide lubrication, and then returns to the oil sump. The oil inlet of the high-pressure oil pumps is a branch on the pipeline of the low-pressure oil outlet cooler; oil from these pumps flows to the centers of the bearing shells at both ends of the rod mill. Its function is to lift the hollow shaft of the mill when it starts or stops, thereby allowing the low-pressure oil to lubricate the bearing shells evenly.
The low-pressure oil has two paths: one goes directly to above the bearing to spray lubricant on the spindle, while the other passes through a high-pressure oil pump to be pressurized before being sent to below the spindle. There is a small hole in the spherical bearing, from which high-pressure oil emerges to lift the main shaft, thereby preventing friction between the spherical bearing and the main shaft when the mill is started or stopped
