Selection of a pump for the water tank: The dimensions of the water tank are 3 meters * 3 meters * 4 meters, meaning its height is 4 meters. It is entirely buried underground, with its top surface at the same level as the ground. Therefore, for this purpose, submersible pumps or self-priming pumps seem to be suitable choices. The flow rate of such a pump should be 30 m3/h, with a head of 30 to 50 meters. If submersible pumps or self-priming pumps are chosen, what would be the appropriate model? Are there any better options?
If the water in the tank is dirty and has a high viscosity, it is recommended to use a screw pump!
For submersible pumps, the QW65-30-40-7.5 model can be chosen; for self-priming pumps, the ZW65-25-40 model is suitable, with a power output of 7.5 kw as well
Submersible pumps are recommended; screw pumps are not necessary
For clean water, a submersible pump will suffice. I don’t have any samples on hand at the moment, so I can’t provide the model number. Wolong’s models are submersible sewage pumps, which should meet your performance requirements
If I were to design the solution: I would choose a clean water pump of the IS80-65-160 type, with a flow rate of 40 m³/h and a head of 32 m; the inlet would be located at the bottom of the tank, equipped with a bottom valve
I recall that there are specialized pool pumps; Coperta from Italy seems to offer them. You might as well ask the manufacturer to help you choose the right one.
An submersible pump can also be chosen. If an IS80-65-160 clean water pump is selected, with a flow rate of 40 m³/h and a head of 32 m, it isn’t necessary to install a bottom valve at the water inlet at the bottom of the tank; instead, a small homemade sealing container can be used on the surface of the water to serve as a substitute for the bottom valve, as bottom valves have a high failure rate
If there is a suitable location for installation, it is recommended to use a clean water pump of the IS80-65-200 type with a flow rate of 30 m3/h and a head of 47 M; the motor should have a power of 7.5 kW, and a vacuum tank should be used for water intake. Of course, QW65-30-40-7.5 can also be chosen.
