There are generally three main ways by which heat can be transferred from the external environment to the liquid inside the pipes: direct heat conduction, convective heat transfer, and thermal radiation. Even if insulation layers are used around the pipes as a common method of insulation, these pathways of heat transfer cannot be completely eliminated, resulting in significant heat loss during the transportation of cold liquids and thus excessive energy waste. When vacuum pipes are used for transporting cold liquids, the high vacuum level between the inner and outer tubes prevents these forms of heat transfer, reducing heat loss from the liquid and avoiding substantial energy waste for the enterprise. The vacuum pipes of Bell Company use high-quality seamless stainless steel pipes for both the inner and outer layers, ensuring sufficient strength even in low-temperature environments. The radiation-shielding material used for wrapping the inner tube is imported aluminum foil and insulating paper; the interlayer employs state-of-the-art high-vacuum multi-layer insulation. An imported helium mass spectrometer is used to detect leaks in the interlayer space, and a special vacuum sealing process is applied to achieve a vacuum level of over 4×10-4 Pa. This ensures that heat loss is kept to a minimum, fully meeting the technical requirements for the long-distance transport of cryogenic liquids.
