I would like to learn more about the process of producing oil from coal tar; could anyone provide me with relatively detailed information on this topic, such as the production process, key equipment, and other aspects related to this process? . Coal tar contains large amounts of unsaturated hydrocarbons such as olefins and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, as well as sulfur and nitrogen compounds. Hydrogen can be produced from the coke oven gas generated during coking, and through hydrogenation reforming processes, desulfurization, saturation of unsaturated hydrocarbons, denitration, and saturation of aromatic hydrocarbons can be achieved. This helps to improve the stability of the product, reduce its sulfur content and aromatic hydrocarbon content, resulting in naphtha and high-quality fuel oil. The quality of these products meets the standards for gasoline and diesel blending oils, but they cannot be used as diesel on their own. Coal tar (including washed oil) is completely different from diesel. In terms of density, diesel has a value of 0.85, while coal tar is around 1. Due to this difference in density, although both are hydrocarbons, their carbon-hydrogen ratios differ significantly; hydrogenation is necessary to transform the polycyclic aromatic compounds, which are the main components of coal tar, into alkanes, which are the main components of diesel.
You can use processes such as one-reactor-one-distillation, one-reactor-two-distillations, or two-reactors-two-distillations; the specific choice depends on the properties of the oil product you need. The equipment involved includes hydrogen compressors, circulators, reactors, distillation towers, desulfurization towers, alkali washing tanks, water washing tanks, and more
Find a book on coal chemical engineering to read; it’s very detailed!
I have been working in tar processing for 6 years, having participated in 3 tar processing projects; I have some basic knowledge of the processing techniques and equipment. I would like to exchange contact information: QQ number 945222115; Email: wkqan19730701@126.com
There is a lot of relevant information available online on the hydrogenation of coal tar to produce fuel oil
There’s a lot of information on oil production from coal tar in forums, and there’s also plenty of it online
4# cui*feng, how can I get in touch with you?! My QQ is 286482726; I’m Wang Qiang. I’d like to ask you some questions
