Should the anti-knock vibration control system configuration for compressors be done by the compressor manufacturer or by the control system integrator? Please share your experience.
Generally, the manufacturer specifies the anti-surge line, that is, the upper and lower limits of the surge line (which is actually a range), which is then confirmed by the designer; on this basis, the system integration party sets the anti-surge parameters.
Generally, compressors undergo surge tests before leaving the factory to determine the surge curve and surge parameters, after which engineers from the control system integrator carry out software configuration. Of course, there are also some compressors, such as large axial flow fans, for which surge tests are conducted after installation on-site to obtain the surge parameters through actual measurements
Of course, it’s the manufacturer of the compressor. Generally, different manufacturers use different anti-kick vibration systems, and some of them are even patented. We use Man’s turbine compressors; foreigners are very conservative.
For SHENGU’s compressors, surge tests are conducted before they leave the factory to determine the surge curves and related surge parameters; thereafter, engineers from the control system integrator carry out software configuration.
