While watching a tutorial on PPTs, there was an example that discussed the hydraulic calculation issues related to towers. The previous section only covered simple calculations, including TRAY PACKING; when examples are discussed later, the number 3 will be used. Include a tray rating (TrayRating data form) section to calculate the column hydraulics Should I create a new item under BLOCKS-T101-TrayRating? I created one, but I don’t know how to enter the data; should it be the same as in BLOCKS-T101-TraySizing? Also, under BLOCKS-T101-Dynamic-Hydraulics I selected Simple tray. There is a checkbox related to FLOODING calculations below; if I select it, I get a message saying, “Error writing value – Flooding calculations are not allowed unless Include Hydraulic Parameters is checked (Report Property Options sheet).” I couldn’t find any settings related to HYDRAULIC in Setup-Report Options-Property. Could you please tell me where these settings can be found and when this checkbox needs to be selected? Also, how should Tray geometry be filled in under Hydraulics? What does that mean? Thank you for the advice. Looking for textbooks, PPTs, and DOC files related to Aspen Dynamics. I am extremely grateful.
Flooding seems to mean overflow; that box is probably selected when performing overflow calculations. But it is not yet clear when this calculation needs to be done
The old problems persist, and new ones have emerged. After adding dynamic data and saving it as an Aspen dynamic problem file in dynf format, such a warning box appeared: \"Fatal Errors during Pressure Checker Analysis – Error in connectivity: The following blocks must be separated by at least one block that includes a pressure drop/flow relationship: Block D101 and Block T101; Block D101 and Block T101; Block T101 and Product Stream C2PROD; Block T101 and Product Stream C3PROD. This can be corrected by inserting a Valve, Pump, Compr, or MCompr between these blocks.\" There is also a warning regarding inlet pressure drops: \"The inlet stream pressure is not equal to the block pressure in the following blocks: D101, T101 stage 13, T101 stage 17.\" For dynamic simulations, the inlet pressure change is fixed at the steady-state value. If you want the inlet pressure drop to vary with flow rate, you should use a Valve to model this pressure drop in your simulation. The pressure check was completed with fatal errors.
It indicates that there is a pressure difference between the modules; a voltage transformation module should be added. However, according to the flowchart in the next steps of the tutorial, no such voltage transformation module has been included. Furthermore, it was found that when selecting FILE-SENDTO-Flow Driven Dyn Simulation, the following error message appears; it’s not clear how this pressure drop should be set. The values set for static conditions are Top 20 bar / Stage 2: 20.1 bar / Pressure drop for the rest of the column: 0.01 bar. After getting this thing working, I’m really happy about it. By the way, the hydraulic settings should be set to \"rigorous\"; I had set them to \"tray\" earlier, which is why the above problems occurred. Everyone, be careful from now on:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol Unfortunately, after I finished setting it up, I didn’t save it; I changed a few settings and it crashed. . . . :@:'(:@:'(:@:'(:@:'(:@:'(:@:'(:@:'(
I also set up hydraulic calculations in Dynmics, but when I switched to the rigorous mode, options such as the flooding calculation method and packing specifications that were required when using the simple packing setting disappeared, and Dynmics displayed in red, indicating that the required inputs were incomplete! OP, what’s going on here?
Rigorous packing and simple packing do not exist side by side, so it’s quite normal for the latter to disappear. After setting rigorous, it is necessary to set tray sizing or pack sizing
1# The training materials for heartsoar Aspen Dynamics include PPT files prepared by You Cunfang, who graduated from the School of Chemical Engineering at Tianjin University; these files can be found in the Aspen dynamics simulation examples folder under zzuwangshilei’s Qupan folder. The original poster must have already seen it. By the way, I’ve just understood the purpose of this post: it’s about using Aspen Plus to carry out convergence-based process simulation, generating dynamic problem files that can then be used in another software package, Aspen Dynamics.
Hehe, it wasn’t her who did it; it was a translation from abroad. Moreover, the quality of the translation is very poor; I was almost misled at first. It is recommended to watch the one in English abroad. It seems like you don’t work with animations; you’re just interested in them
I’ve learned it for now, but there will be many more questions in the future; I’ll come and ask for advice then
I have a Dynsim, but I don’t know how to use it and there’s not much information available either. But there is information available for Aspen Dynamic; yet no software has been installed. Is Aspen Dynamic integrated within AspenPlus? Do I not need to download it somewhere again?
