Hire an expert to start construction for the new installation

Every time our company starts up a new installation, we usually invite external experts to assist with the commissioning process, and sometimes this indeed plays a very positive role in ensuring the smooth start-up of the installation. But sometimes the opinions of external experts differ, especially when they conflict with those of the patent holders, which puts us in a difficult position as we don’t know whose opinion to follow. I wonder if anyone else has experienced something similar?
I think we should rely mainly on the experts’ opinions. In the past, we would only hold meetings to discuss things when the experts were unable to find a solution; everyone would contribute ideas together before deciding on a revised plan
Experts are not infallible. When testing a new device, an expert was brought in – one with a graduate degree – who developed a startup plan that was regarded as sacred by everyone in the company. Yet after three days of operation, the product still did not meet the standards. I was responsible for coordinating operations on site and could not take over the main control position. Three days later, the expert and the relevant staff were completely exhausted, and they agreed to let me take charge; the system then functioned properly for ten hours. When a new device is put into operation, those working on it first need to become familiar with it; expert opinions can serve as a reference, but relying solely on them is not conducive to the subsequent work. It's purely my personal opinion.
Theoretically, patent holders are most familiar with their own processes, so I personally think that their opinions should be given priority; there is also an issue of assigning responsibilities in this regard.
What was said on the 4th floor is correct; there indeed is an issue of responsibility. Usually, at this point we have to follow the patent holder’s advice, but sometimes it feels like we’re not showing enough respect for the experts, which is quite difficult.
I participated in several projects; half a year before starting to drive, the workshop managers organized training sessions for us, and there were also driving training courses. Experts were invited to give lectures as well before I started driving. However, the final driving plan and operations were all controlled by the owner themselves, and everything went smoothly. Only by learning more*, seeking advice, formulating plans on one’s own, and then having them reviewed by experts can the quality of employees be improved.
