As the title suggests, the motor of the pre-lubrication pump for the compressor’s cylinder liners has burned out. As a temporary solution, it is planned to use a manual oil pump to generate pre-lubrication pressure in order to start the compressor (is this method feasible?) ). The original parameters of the pre-lubrication oil pump were as follows: displacement of 4.5 m³/h, pressure of 200 KPaG, with inlet and outlet connections of 1-1/2'' NPT. How should I choose a hand-operated oil pump? (Please don’t tell me to replace the motor, thank you)
That’s really creative. When the oil pump motor fails, one can use a manual oil pump to supply oil pressure to the compressor in order to start it; once the compressor is running, the shaft pump will take over, and there’s no need to use the manual oil pump anymore. Is that what it means? Why doesn’t the original poster remove the interlock and just turn the device on? There are risks in both cases, and the bearing shells may be damaged as well. The pressure of the manual oil pump is unstable and difficult to control. It can also be said to be uncontrollable.
I want to use my hand to press the oil pump in order to maintain a pre-lubrication pressure until the equipment starts running; it’s better than having no such pressure at all, right? Actually, isn’t pre-lubrication mainly meant to ensure lubrication of the piston at the moment of startup?
