The steam pressure for transporting cooled coke is normal (around 3.5 Mpa), but the pressure in the steam drum is higher than usual, reaching over 4 Mpa. What could be the cause of this?
The external steam pressure refers to the pressure behind the drum backpressure valve; it is usually similar to the pressure in the pipeline network. The drum pressure, on the other hand, is the pressure in front of the backpressure valve, that is, the pressure within the drum itself, so it is normal for this value to be slightly higher than the pressure behind the valve.

Check on-site to see if the pressure gauge matches that in the control room Is the manual valve at the steam outlet closed tightly? Is the opening degree of the automatic valve consistent with that in the control room? Has there been any change in the set value of the automatic valve? When the superheater outlet valve is closed, throttling leads to an increase in pressure loss, and that’s why the phenomenon you described occurs: the external supply pressure is low or normal compared to before, while the drum pressure is higher than it used to be
