Dear experts: I’m a newcomer to welding inspection, and I have some questions regarding the measurement of the root depth of fillet welds. It’s straightforward to use a weld inspection gauge to measure the height of fillet welds with a 90-degree angle, but how should one measure the root depth of fillet welds that are not at 90 degrees? I would appreciate your advice, thank you!
