I just started working in the workshop, and there are lots of technical materials, documents, and records. It takes a lot of time to find things on the computer. I wonder how everyone else manages to keep things organized Are there any good methods that can be shared?
I believe that to carry out this work properly, two things are necessary: 1) First, classify the information into categories such as process management, equipment management, safety and environmental protection, data statistics and analysis, management of spare parts in the workshop, maintenance management, human resource management, training, etc.; 2) Make full use of computers to fill in the information for these categorized items on a daily basis, identify any shortcomings, and keep making improvements;
Information and records related to processes and equipment are different; what specific information do you need?
The most basic classification is very important, and it should be as reasonable as possible to avoid situations where certain information is not clearly classified, making it difficult to locate; On the other hand, modern computers support long file names, so file names can be made as detailed as possible. For files with the same name, include the date; try to avoid using English or pinyin abbreviations, as this makes it easier to find them using the file search function.
