Seeking advice on how to draw distillation columns in PRO/II

When drawing a distillation column in a flowchart using PRO/II, it is required to enter the number of theoretical plates. But what should be done if the theoretical plate number is not known? Can a column without a specified number of theoretical plates be drawn? I’m a beginner and just starting out, so please help me out a lot. Thank you.
First, use a simple algorithm to calculate the theoretical number of plates
Does the simple algorithm for tray 2# mean using that formula whose name I can’t remember, instead of PRO/II?
