As the title suggests, what is the effect of water content in the Changding Changyi product on its boiling range? Does it become lighter?
When water is present in the light ends, it depends on the control parameters in place. Generally, the boiling range of the light ends includes the boiling point of water; if the control parameters are not strict enough, the presence of water may cause the boiling range of the light ends to increase. Usually, the boiling range of oil from primary production processes should decrease when water is present. However, the biggest problem with using water is not its impact on the boiling range, but rather that it can easily cause column flooding, leading to problems in production.
If water is carried in with the feed, the vapor pressure of oil and gas inside the tower decreases; with the top temperature and the temperature at which product is withdrawn from the side lines remaining unchanged, the qualities of the normal top product and the normal first-stage product will become heavier.
