I would like to know why, in the petrochemical industry, the installation methods for pressure gauges or transmitters vary depending on the design firm responsible for the drawings. The materials used also differ, but most construction teams use a short section, a stop valve, and a pressure gauge. Is there a unified installation method? The method specified in HG/T1581-85 is no longer applicable
I think this issue is related to the choice of gauge; for ordinary pressure gauges, they feature threaded connections, pressure transfer tubes, and the pressure gauge shut-off valves and connectors are all designed by specialists in instrumentation; Diaphragm pressure gauge: flange connection; the stop valve is provided by the process unit, while gaskets, bolts, etc. are supplied by the instrument manufacturer ; For flanged pressure transmitters, the installation diagrams for connecting the pressure guide tubes vary; moreover, the installation methods differ for gas and liquid media
The installation method of pressure gauges depends on the type of pressure gauge, as well as the magnitude of the pressure source, its temperature, and whether there is vibration present. To measure high pressures, two shut-off valves are required; in environments with high temperatures and vibrations, cooling elbows are necessary

For those who support the idea of having it on the third floor, it mainly depends on the actual conditions on site. Design firms tend to rely too much on theoretical plans; in practice, it’s necessary to proceed in a way that is convenient and suitable for installation.
In fact, the designers create their plans in accordance with relevant standards, but sometimes the contractors make arbitrary changes to the drawings for their own convenience. Of course, there are also cases where the designers create the plans without conducting on-site inspections, which results in difficulties for the contractors in carrying out the construction. I have seen these phenomena too many times on site.
